MoCo Dance Launches Palm Springs Recruitment: New Fractal Movement Company Forming in the Coachella Valley
The Motion Code™ creator Ed Shiang is officially launching MoCo Dance Palm Springs, and the first call for dancers and movement artists begins today.
Shiang — known globally as the Father of Fractal Movement — is forming the inaugural MoCo Dance Company: Palm Springs, a pioneering ensemble dedicated to exploring Fractal Intelligence in human movement, improvisational fractal choreography, and performance-based flow states.
“This is not traditional dance,” says Shiang. “This is the living geometry of motion coming alive in the body. We’re looking for dancers and movers who want to help shape the future of embodied creativity.”
CALL FOR DANCERS — NOW RECRUITING
MoCo Dance is seeking individuals who feel called to explore:
- improvisational, intuitive movement
- fractal motion and geometric flow
- creative embodiment
- energy-based movement practices
- movement meditation and trance states
- next-generation performance art
All levels are welcome — from professional dancers to movement-curious beginners.
What matters most is openness, curiosity, and a willingness to explore fractal intelligence through the body.
Audition and rehearsal information will be provided directly to interested participants.

Alongside the new performance company, Shiang is opening a weekly MoCo Dance Circle in Cathedral City — a community-focused practice space for:

- anyone seeking a deeper relationship with movement and the body
Sessions are accessible to all levels and can be done standing, seated, or even in micro-movement form.
